No legal advice

The information on this website is general information about patents and the firm's services. It is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney about your specific situation. Reading this website, booking a consultation, or sending information to the firm does not create an attorney client relationship. An attorney client relationship is formed only when a written engagement agreement is signed by both the client and the firm.

Attorney advertising

This website is attorney advertising. Roberts IP Law is a patent law firm. Its practice is limited to patent matters and proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Licensing

John Roberts is a registered patent attorney, USPTO Registration No. 50,453, and is licensed to practice law in California (Bar No. 208927), Arizona (Bar No. 038747), and Indiana (Bar No. 23363-49). Roberts IP Law is the trade name of John L. Roberts, Attorney at Law; it is not a corporation or limited liability entity. Patent and trademark services before the USPTO are offered to clients nationwide under federal registration. See Sperry v. Florida, 373 U.S. 379 (1963).

No outcome promises

Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. No attorney can promise that any patent application will be granted, that any particular claim scope will be allowed, or that the USPTO will act within any particular time. References on this website to timelines, including those associated with the USPTO's Track One prioritized examination program, describe program targets and historical norms, not promised results. Written recommendations and opinions provided by the firm are professional judgments, not predictions or warranties of outcome.

Pricing

Published fees assume the client and all inventors and assignees qualify for USPTO micro entity status. If micro entity status does not apply, USPTO fees at the applicable entity rate apply, and the difference is added to published amounts. All fees and costs are confirmed in writing in the applicable engagement documents before work begins. Each step of the firm's process is a separate, stand alone engagement.

Third party links

This website links to third party resources, including the USPTO's website. The firm does not control and is not responsible for the content of third party sites.

Testimonials and endorsements

Any peer endorsements referenced on this website reflect the personal views of the endorsers and are not a guarantee or prediction of the outcome of any matter.
